As we prepare our application in the hopes of opening the Whole Life Charter School in the Fall of 2012, we are looking to create a team composed of dynamic, dedicated, creative individuals that are in love with learning as much as we are. Our goal is to make the Whole Life Charter School an exciting environment for every member of our team no matter what your profession is. Our teachers (we call them “advisors”) will work together in teams devising interdisciplinary projects, exchanging their best ideas and most successful teaching discoveries, discussing ideas that didn't work as well as hoped, and coaching and being coached by teammates virtually every school day. Our maintenance team, administrative support staff, kitchen staff, guidance counselors, principals, and executive officers are considered as much a part of our faculty as our advisors and will be called upon to work with our students during special seminars, town halls, and the unexpected "teachable moment."

Following are our most basic qualifications:

Advisors/teachers – must be certified (or are becoming eligible for certification by August, 2012) to teach in your field of specialization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All criminal background checks must be up to date and in order.

Administrative and student support (principals, guidance counselors, clinicians) – must be a certified practitioner in your field and certified or licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All criminal background checks must be up to date and in order.

Administrative support – must love being around children. We believe our administrative support professionals hold the school together and we are looking for those who have prior public school experience preferably in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to help our school succeed. All criminal background clearances must be up to date and in order.

Kitchen and maintenance professionals – must love being around children. If you do not presently have criminal background clearances up to date and in order, we will arrange for them if we believe you will be a good fit for our school.
