Mission Statement

The Whole Life Charter School/Learner Alternatives Charter School (WLCS/LACS) will assist high school students who have struggled in or are at risk of failure in traditional settings to discover and manifest their unique abilities and strengths in the pursuit of academic, real world, and whole life achievement. WLCS/LACS will offer a tailored physical environment, small communities of friends, a technologically rich learning environment, and a concentration of supportive specialists and caring adults, in a truly innovative school modeled on the highly successful Big Picture Company model. The school will emulate the Big Picture’s approach of educating “one student at a time” through an education program developed around each student’s interests and educational needs.
